The A's hurting in the bullpen have placed Chris Hammond on the 15 Day DL - retroactive to June 12th.
In his stead the A's have called up;

...Mike Wood?
...Adam Morrissey?
...Mike Rose?
...Mike Edwards?
...Wait for it...
Infielder Ramon Castro.
What in the name of all that is Oakland Athletic?
About the only reasoning that could be followed is that Castro will be up for six days, so as to give Bobby Crosby at least one day off, possibly two. Other than that, there really isn't a whole lot to this call up.
