OMENS

Maybe it's just me. But, there are a few things you don't want to hear on the radio driving to an airport. Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens, Patsy Cline, Jim Croce, John Denver, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Glenn Miller, Ricky Nelson, to be sure, Otis Redding...I'm not sure, but there might not exist a time when you don't want to hear Otis Redding.

What you definitely don't want to hear on the radio in a hotel shuttle van driven by some guy who looks like he just stepped out of a sleep clinic while on a frozen Wisconsin road with a blanket of frozen snow on the ground is the Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin". Very disturbing. At least the song getting out of the van was, CCR's "Travelin' Band".

Felt a little better.

Getting back to California there was a problem. SBC had trouble for most of the last week with external email sockets. Yahoo, Gmail, etc. Try calling SBC's Customer Service and start a conversation that is not scripted, and therefore not what you need to solve your problem. So, for the last 48 hours I have been trying to read email and I know a large portion of you are waiting with baited breath for a reply - it's coming. I have several posts on their way and a few big names to drop on you.

Hope you weekend was as fraught with human emotion as mine.
