A CERTAIN SCOTTISH PLAY

Marcus McBeth has been called up to Sacramento. Tonight he faced five batters, got five outs - striking out two.

McBeth is what Jairo Garica was supposed to be. Of course, Jairo Garcia tuned out to be Santiago Casilla.

McBeth could be, could be, fast-tracked to Oakland by the All-Star break.

Comments:

Interesting Zach. Even cooler is the fact that he was drafted in the moneyball draft as an outfielder in the 4th round. Last year he was converted to a pitcher. What do you know about this?

Marcus was an outstanding defensive outfielder who couldn't hit. His best tool was his arm, so the A's took away the wood and introduced him to the highest point on the field.

Saw him pitch against the San Jose Giants a few weeks back. He looked good.
