CALENDAR CORNER

I am working on the starting rotation schedule for the rest of the season. I'll post this with my pitching staff eval later today. It's now;

The A's have only one day off the rest of the regular season, September 5th. So, it will be interesting to see if Art Howe decides to juggle the rotation at all.

Also of note, the Oakalnd A's will have the advantage of having a few Sacramento River Cats around when September hits. The last few years the A's have been hampered, a bit, in not being able to call up their AAA players in September because their AAA teams were in their own playoffs.

With the River Cats playing so poorly this season the A's won't have that problem. Of course, if the River Cats are playing that poorly, why would the A's want them in Oakland?

Adam Piatt was named PCL Player of the Week last week and has started to dominate pitchers as he did in his triple crown season in Midland.
