I was reading Rob Neyer's column this morning, specifically the part about Neifi Perez mailing it in. While surfing around this morning and checking the games in progress I noticed that Perez was 3 for 3.

If you watch TV you might have seen Barry Bonds' game winning homerun against Philadelphia last week. If you watch Omar Daal deliver the pitch, he's on the infield grass walking toward the dug out before the camera has a chance to follow the flight of the ball off Bonds' bat. As if he had dinner reservations that might elapse if he didn't get the game over with in time. Plus, Daal came back and started a game two days later.
If Bonds is injured/hurt, why was he batting in the top of the 9th with his team leading 9-5?
It's hard to tell if a pitcher purposely grooves a pitch or just gives a guy a fat, BP fastball to get to the next hitter or get the game over with...but, those two scenes smell, they smell bad.
